What this site is

Cradle & Hearth offers a free interior style quiz, a resulting style profile, written guides about furnishing a home, and furniture and home furnishings for sale. Browsing the site and taking the quiz require no account.

Buying from us

Orders

A listing on this site is an invitation to order, not an offer we are bound to accept. Your order is an offer to buy, and the contract forms when we send you an order confirmation. We may decline an order: for example where an item is out of stock, where a price or description was wrong, where we cannot deliver to your address, or where a payment fails a fraud check. If we decline an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.

Prices, descriptions and availability

Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout. We work to describe and price everything accurately, but we sell a large catalogue sourced from many suppliers and errors happen. Where an item's price or description is obviously wrong, we are not obliged to sell at that price: we will contact you, and you can confirm at the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.

Colours and finishes vary between screens, and wood, stone and textiles vary naturally between pieces. Photographs show the character of an item rather than a guarantee of an exact match.

Stock is shared with other sales channels and can sell out between your order and our confirmation. If that happens we will tell you and refund the affected items.

Payment

Payment is taken through our payment processor at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card details. By ordering, you confirm you are entitled to use the payment method you have given us.

Delivery, title and risk

Delivery methods, lead times, what a freight delivery includes, and what you must check before signing for it are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery. Delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees, and time is not of the essence unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Returns and refunds

Return windows, restocking fees, who pays return freight, and how damaged or defective items are handled are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which also forms part of these terms.

Buying for personal use

The site sells to end customers. It is not a wholesale channel, and we may decline or cancel orders that appear to be for resale or that are unusually large relative to normal household use.

The quiz and your profile are guidance, not advice

The style profile is generated from the answers you give and is intended to help you make your own decisions. It is not professional interior design, architectural or structural advice, and it does not account for anything we cannot see: your room dimensions, your building, your budget in practice, or local regulations. Use your own judgement, and consult a qualified professional for work that needs one.

Imagery

Room images on this site are digital renderings made from each product’s catalog photos. They show how the pieces work together. Shapes and details match the products; colors and wood tones can look darker in a rendering, and each product page carries the maker’s own photos, which are the reference for color and finish.

Images used to illustrate styles and profiles are reference and styling imagery. They show the character of a style rather than a specific product, room or completed project, and they are not a representation that any particular item is available.

Your use of the site

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, access parts of it you have not been given access to, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or submit other people's personal details through its forms.

Our content

The text, design and original imagery on this site belong to us. You are welcome to read, quote reasonably with attribution, and share links. Republishing whole pages is not permitted without permission.

Availability

We aim to keep the site up but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or remove features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on the guidance it provides.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
